mall. Students from many SAFEKIDS programs were in attendance
New white belts get started. Many of these students
made it through to black belt. Parents and grand- parents stayed and
watched as their children explored the art of Taekwondo.
Many students brought awards they'd earned in
school to pose with Mr. Kirby. A bond forms between instructor and student
that promotes
accomplishment and praise for academic achievement. The students are
acknowledged in SafeKids class for academic excellence through patches
worn on uniforms and metals.

CARVER students win trophies from a local
competition held at a karate school in North Miami. We try to make a point
of taking the students to other schools to experience different styles of
martial arts first hand.
